Chicago provides a spectacular view of Lake Michigan. We went in for a tour boat ride and had a great time admiring and taking pictures of Chicago’s skyline. You can also go in for sunbathing, swimming or cycling around this lake and enjoy the cool breeze.
2. Visit Richard H. Driehaus Museum
This museum is housed in banker Samuel Nickerson’s mansion and is a must visit for everyone. The building has been meticulously restored and has awe inspiring architecture. The staff here is very knowledgeable and it’s a perfect place to spend a few peaceful hours, away from the crowd.
3. Checkout the Million Dollar Quartet
This place is a delight for all the rock and roll fans and even if you are not one, this place is worth a visit with some high energy, upbeat and thoroughly entertaining shows. Million Dollar Quartet captures a brief moment in time when Sun Studios in Memphis had Elvis, Cash, Perkins, and Lewis together. The cast of this show was very talented and could sing and play like the “originals”.
4. Go to the Art Institute of Chicago
An ardent history buff, my wife just loves visiting museums and I like to accompany her. The building looks beautiful with its classical renaissance structure. It houses an awe inspiring collection of paintings by some great artists like Monet, Van Gogh and Caillebotte, which are a wonderful treat for the eyes. However, you need at least 2-3 hours to explore this huge museum.
5. Visit Lincoln Park Zoo
Spanning over 35 acres, this zoo was established in 1868.The zoo is clean and the staff is helpful. There is no entry fee in this place situated in the middle of the city. The snacks served at the restaurant were good and it’s a must visit for families and for those who love nature.

The hotel is housed in a historic building which dates back to 1895.We loved the spacious and elegant room and the classic charm of this beautiful hotel. There are ample of other good hotels for stay including Four Seasons, The Langham, The Talbott and The Peninsula.
Where to Eat
This city gives you diverse food options ranging from Pan-Asian to molecular and foamy. My wife and I had an amazing dinner at Alinea .Everything in this restaurant is top notch be it the ambience, the wines or the food. Other good options include Wildberry Pancakes and Café, Joe’s Seafood and Polo Café.
